| 2/2/2012 | 11:07:42 AM | | Major Incidents Reported for February 02, 2012 | Meth Lab:
U.S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, looking for a wanted fugitive on Carey Avenue, find a working meth lab. After obtaining consent to search the residence, officers from the Akron Police Department Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team(CLET), recovered items commonly used to manufacture meth including chemicals and other paraphernalia, inside of the house.
Officers arrested Jeffrey D. Jones, 41, and Jacqueline J. Hahn, 24, both of Carey Avenue. Jones and Hahn were charged with Illegal Manufacturing of Methamphetamines, Illegal Assembly of Chemicals, Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were booked into the Summit County Jail.

Robbery:
A landlord attempting to collect rent on Wildwood Avenue was knocked down and her purse stolen. The 63 year old female victim went over to her rental property in the 200 block of Wildwood Avenue to collect the rent from her tenants. As she got out of her car she was approached by a 14 year old male. The 14 year old male grabbed onto the victim’s purse. After a brief struggle, the shoulder strap on the purse broke and the victim fell on the ground. The suspect ran northbound on Wildwood Avenue with the victim’s purse.
Responding officers found the suspect on West Exchange Street a few minutes later. Officers arrested Erin L. Ruple, 14, of Work Drive. Ruple was charged with robbery and placed in the custody of the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.

Tramell fired shots at one victim and missed. He them fired shots at another victim hitting this victim 5-6 times in the back and legs as this victim was running away from Tramell.
Sydney C Jiles, 54, 440 Patteron Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Burglary. Sydney was observed by the homeowner entering the garage and was found to be in possession of property belonging to the victim.
Jose R Hernandez-Perez, 35, 264 E Crosier St., Akron, Ohio was charged with Domestic Violence. Jose has a prior conviction for domestic violence from 8-10-10.
Latoya M Scott, 28, 153 Yale St., Akron, Ohio was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Tools. Latoya was a front seat passenger in a stolen vehicle with the column peeled. Several knives and a hammer were also found inside the vehicle.
Damon G Poage, 20, 10810 Avon Ave., Cleveland, Ohio was charged with Receiving Stole Property and Criminal Tools. Damon was a rear passenger in a stolen vehicle with the column peeled. Several knives and a hammer were also found inside the vehicle.
Christopher R Martin, 25, 5847 Bear Creek Dr, Bedford Heights, Ohio was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Tools. Christopher was the driver of a stolen vehicle with the column peeled. Christopher was in possession of a ratchet wrench and a butter knife near his seat.
Christen M Flinn, 21, 854 Storer Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Carrying a Concealed Weapon Gun and Ethnic Intimidation. Christen was with another male (Michael Andrews) at Bisson Ave and Herman Ave. Christen saw the victim walking on Herman Ave and made a comment to him and pointed a shotgun at the victim. The victim ran and reported the incident to the police. The suspects were apprehended and the gun was found near the bushed were the victim stated the incident had happened.

Officers from the Akron Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rahsheem J. Carr, 20, of Seiberling Street in Akron, for his participation in the robbery and shooting death of Phillip M. Anderson that occurred on Princeton Street on January 10, 2012.
After receiving a tip and doing hours of surveillance, Carr was taken into custody without incident around 8:00 last night in the 400 block of Talbot Street. Carr was charged with Aggravated Murder and Aggravated Robbery and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Two other male suspects, Demarcus Williams, 20, of Tandy Lane and Robert Davis, 20, of Princeton Street, have already been arrested on Aggravated Murder and Aggravated Robbery charges, related to the death of Phillip Anderson.

Robbery:
A 19 year old male comes to his aunt’s aid during a robbery. Around 1:30 this morning, a 65 year old female was standing at the night window at the Circle K, located at 940 South Arlington Street, trying to make a purchase when the suspect approached the victim and asked for change. When the victim stated she didn’t have any change, the suspect grabbed the money from the female’s hand and attempted to run. The victim’s 19 year old nephew, who was sitting in the victim’s van, jumped out of the van and tackled the suspect. After a brief struggle, the victim’s nephew was able to get the victim’s money back. The nephew then held the suspect until police arrived.
Officers arrested Lee A. Caldwell. 32, of East Avenue, for robbery. He was treated on scene by paramedics for a bloody nose and mouth before being booked into the Summit County Jail.

Serious Accident:
Around 6:30 this morning, officers responded to multi-vehicle accident on State Route 224 westbound just west of State Route 241. Three vehicles were involved in the crash. Two of the drivers were transported to Akron City Hospital, one is in serious condition, the third driver refused medical attention on scene. The accident remains under investigation.
State Route 224 is now open for vehicle traffic.

Rahsheem J Carr, 20, 644 Seiberling St., Akron, Ohio was charged with Aggravated Murder and Aggravated Robbery. Rahsheem along with Robert Davis Jr robbed, shot and killed the victim at 822 Princeton St.
Charles L Blackwell, 25, 2337 10th St NW, #1, Canton, Ohio was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Felonious Assault. Charles along with Nathanael J Nicolino, Nicholas S Kelly, Nathaniel P Kelly and Christopher R Bryan assaulted the victim causing the victim to lose consciousness and took $600 in cash from the victim.
Todd S Little II, 20, 926 Dover Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Aggravated Robbery. Todd along with Jeremy Culver and Shawn A Davis robbed the victim at gunpoint taking $300 in cash, Xbox 360 and and I4 cell phone.
Raymond C Hosterman, 39, 659 Grifton Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Rape. The victim stated that the suspect engaged in sexual conduct with her numerous times over a period of a year.
Lee A Caldwell, 32, 1188 East Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Robbery. The victim was paying for merchandise at the Circle K window at 940 S Arlington when Lee asked her for some change/money. She told him that the money she had was not hers and put the money on the counter to pay. Lee took the money and attempted to run. The victim's grandson tackled Lee to the ground and fought with him to get the money back. Lee threatened the grandson during the fight. |
