SIGNAGE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Provide a brief description/explanation of the business, including
location and type of business.
Five (5) copies of the following information is required on all sign proposals:
- A scaled drawing of the proposed sign(s) indicating: height width, color, materials, and
style of all lettering, logos, graphics, etc; type of lighting; and any other descriptive
information.
Also, provide material sample(s).
- For building-mounted signage, provide a scaled elevation drawing of the building that
illustrates fenestration and the location(s) of the sign(s) proposed.
- For site signage, provide a scaled site plan that illustrates proposed sign(s)
location(s), building(s), parking, topography, landscaping, etc.
- Color photograph (Polaroid or other) of the building and/or site.

Plans will be presented to the Urban Design and Historic -Preservation Commission which
meets every three (3) weeks. SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED TEN (10) WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO
THE COMMISSION MEETINGS.
Planning Commission approval will be sought at their next scheduled meeting. Two (2)
(sets of) plans will be stamped "Approved", and then returned. Approved plan(s)
must be submitted to the City Building Department to obtain sign permit(s).

AWNING SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

- Scaled drawing of the proposed awning(s) indicating: height, width, length, height from
ground level, color, type of lighting (if any); all lettering, logos, graphics, etc; and
any other descriptive information.
Also, provide a material sample.
- Scaled elevation drawing of the building that illustrates fenestration and the
locations(s) of the awning(s) proposed.
- Color photograph (Polaroid or other) of the building.

City Council approval is required for awnings over the City right-of-way. Following
Urban Design and Historic Preservation Commission review, the project will be transferred
to the Zoning Division of the Planning Department. The Zoning Division will schedule
review by Council. After Council approval, two (2) (sets of) plans will be stamped
"Approved", and then returned. Approved plans) must be submitted to the City
Building Department to obtain a permit for the awning(s).

DEVELOPMENT PLAN SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Provide a brief description of the following:
- Introductory explanation about the business, including type of business, number of
employees, etc.
- Architectural description that indicates architectural style, building square footage,
materials, colors, etc.
- Site acreage.
Five (5) copies of the following information is required for all development proposals:
(All illustrations shall label materials, colors, etc.)
- Site Plan
- Grading Plan
- Landscape/Planting Plan
- Ground Floor Plan
- Architectural Elevations (4 sides), with notes that identify materials, color/s, etc.
- Signage. (Incorporate information required on Signage Submission Requirements'
attachment.)
A palette of color and material samples of all architectural elements shall be
submitted.
It is suggested that the developer's architect or engineer meet with Department of
Planning & Urban Development, Design Division personnel to discuss the project PRIOR
TO INITIATING WORK - or - AT THE PRELIMINARY PLAN STAGE. The design guidance provided may
help avoid costly plan revisions.
