| The first place winners of the 2007 Holocaust Arts & Writing
contest recently visited Washington, D.C. The group flew into Baltimore/Washington's
International Thurgood Marshall Airport; was bused to the Lincoln Memorial; went on a
walking tour through the World War II Memorial, past the Washington Monument; then, went
on to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, where they spent two hours seeing first-hand the
atrocities that took place in Europe during World War II. After lunch at the museum's
café, the group visited the offices of Senator Sherrod Brown where they spent time
talking with the senator about his new job and world affairs.
