General FAQ:

Q: What is the project schedule? Select the Project Name listed below for the schedule and other information.
Q: Who can I contact if I have a question regarding the construction of a project? Please contact the Project Coordinator from the Akron Engineering Bureau at (330)375-2355, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Questions may also be submitted through the Mayor's Action Center.
Q: When will the assessments be placed on taxes? There is nothing that officially states a time that the assessment would first appear on the taxes. But the Notice to Property Owners of Special Assessments states: "After the improvement has been completed, the City Council will consider the ordinance levying the special assessments. Within 30 days after enactment of that assessing ordinance, you may pay the special assessment for the improvement in cash at the office of the City Assessor. If you pay the special assessment in cash at that time, you will save the interest to be charged at the rate of interest on the securities issued in anticipation of the collection of the special assessment." Technically, it will not appear until after a bond sale is held for those unpaid parcels. That usually takes place in the year that the assessing ordinances pass and then the assessments are certified for collection with Summit County in September. It would first appear on the next tax bill after certification.
