Paul Allison, former President of the Akron School Board, was appointed in March of 2001 to fill the unexpired term of the late Helen Arnold. He was elected to serve his first full term in November of that year.

Mr. Allison is a graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in 1975. He received his law degree from The Ohio State University College of law in 1978. He is Vice President of the Illuminating Company, which is a FirstEnergy Company.
