David Portis, a life-long resident of Akron, is a graduate of Garfield High School and attended the University of Akron.

Mr. Portis was elected Ward 5 Councilman for the City of Akron in 1996 and served through the year 2000.

He has worked as a staff appraiser for the Summit County Auditor’s Office from 1986 to 1996 and was assistant project coordinator at Oriana House.

Mr. Portis is currently Managing Director Real Estate Acquisitions for PMG Properties, a real estate management firm.
