JANICE PRITT began her career with the
city of Akron on September 14, 1992 as a Sanitarian I in the Health Department/Housing
Division. Within two years she became a Sanitarian II. She later transferred to the
Environmental Health Division where she was initially assigned to the Litter Control
Program.JANICE currently works in the Food Safety program where she inspects
restaurants and other food establishments, as well as temporary food operations at special
events. She makes presentations about food safety, is a certified ServSafe instructor, and
is responsible for maintaining the Health Department’s designation as an approved
training agency by the State.
SHE has served as a member of the Northeast Ohio Environmental Health
Association Educational Planning committee for ten years.
JANICE and her husband David have been married for forty-four years and have one
daughter and three grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, golfing and baking.
HER diligence, conscientious nature, positive attitude and willingness to do
more than the minimum make her an extremely valuable employee and a pleasure to work with.
