BONNIE DELMONTE began her career with
the City of Akron as a seasonal Clerk I on August 9, 1968. She was promoted to Clerk
Typist I and made permanent on October 31, 1968. On September 17, 1974, Bonnie was
promoted to Clerk Typist II. She was promoted to Clerk Typist III on November 30, 1987 and
her title was changed to Secretary III on October 14, 1994.BONNIE is nearing her
40th year of employment with the City of Akron, having spent all but the first
3 months of her city career in the Income Tax Division. She is one of the last few staff
members who has worked for all three Akron Tax Commissioners, being the administrative
secretary to the last two.
SHE is highly proficient in PeopleSoft and Banner and is responsible for
handling the division’s payroll, requisitions and invoices. She verifies the accuracy
of control documents for income tax refunds and oversees the collection and reporting of
Akron’s Hotel-Motel tax.
BONNIE is efficient in her duties and is willing to take on extra tasks as
needed in the division. She is the telephone receptionist for the administrative section,
providing pleasant and courteous service to incoming callers.
SHE and her husband, Randy, have been married for 34 years. She enjoys reading
and looks forward to spring, when she can put out her flower garden at home. BONNIE
is an active member of the "Y" and also a member of the City’s Women’s
20-year Club.
BONNIE DELMONTE is a valuable asset to the Income Tax Division.
