KIM HUSKEY began her career with the
City of Akron on November 6, 1986 as a seasonal at Mason Park Community Center. SHE
continued as a seasonal at Forest Lodge and Reservoir Park Community Centers until Ellet
Community Center was opened in 1994. SHE was promoted to PPT Leader on April 17,
1995; PPT Recreation Supervisor on March 25, 1996; Permanent Supervisor I on January 31,
2000 and was promoted to her current position of Supervisor II of the Ellet Community
Center on April 14, 2003.KIM has exhibited the traits you look for in an
individualself-starter, dedicated, reliable and highly motivated. SHE has
great initiative and tackles her projects with enthusiasm.
MS. HUSKEY has volunteered for numerous city activities including Holiday
Parade, Arts Expo, Lock 3 Summer Arts Experience, Fun Run and Lebron Bikeathon.
HER daily duties included planning, programming and overseeing the operation of
the Ellet Community Center. The center has activities and programs for everyone from ages
2 to 102. The center is home to numerous clubs, classes, support groups, special events,
summer camps and sports clinics.
KIM grew up in Breese, Illinois. SHE lives in the Goodyear Heights area
with her husband Bob and their dog Daphne. KIM has two children, son Michael and
daughter Nikki. She also has a son-in-law, Joe. MS. HUSKEY is the proud grandmother
of Jackson and has a new grandchild on the way.
KIM HUSKEY is an avid golfer playing on the league at Mud Run Golf Course and
enjoys traveling with family and friends. She especially enjoys spending time with her
grandson.
