BARRY PRUITT was hired
full time by the City of Akron on July 16, 2001 as an Engineering Technician I and was
promoted to his present position of Engineering Technician II on July 19, 2004. MR.
PRUITT’S current responsibilities include the inspection of multiple roofing
projects in addition to small short duration projects. HE has inspected and helped
train others to inspect for the City of Akron’s ADA Access program for wheel chair
ramps. HE capably handles his own job responsibilities while also making himself
available to assist the less experienced staff members. BARRY’S skill in
prioritizing his time insures accurate documentation and contract enforcement. HIS
forethought on projects minimizes the overall impact on the affected residents and
provides high quality customer service.BARRY exercises independent judgment and
has worked hard to become well versed in our standards and specifications. HE keeps
his documentation up to date so that any one who may need to take over for him in his
absence is well prepared.
BARRY grew up in the Ellet area where he now lives with his wife, Angela and
their new son. HE is a graduate of Ellet High School and received his Construction
Engineering degree from the University of Akron. HE enjoys fishing, playing poker,
woodworking and spending time working around the house.
