| JASON HARRIS began working with the
City of Akron as a co-op student in June, 1991. After graduation from the University of
Akron with a Bachelors of Construction Technology degree in June, 1996, he was
hired in full-time as an Engineering Technician I in October, 1996. JASON was
promoted to his current position of Engineering Technician III on November 19, 2001. As
an Engineering Technician III, JASON is responsible for a wide variety of
activities that must be completed on a project in order to take it from the "planning
stage" to the "construction complete" stage. Recent accomplishments include
the Portage Path Bridge project, the Bettes Corners Bridges project and the Honodle Avenue
CDA project. JASON is now scheduled to oversee another high-profile roadway
improvements project that will start very soon along Howard Street.
HE and his wife, Jen, live in Ellet and are
the proud parents of a daughter, Kylie. JASON enjoys coaching Kylies soccer
team along with spending time with the family doing a variety of "outdoor"
activities including hiking, biking and fishing. JASON also recently passed the
Engineer-In-Training exam, a national exam that must be passed in order to eventually
become a Professional Engineer.
JASON is a role model for new employees in the Akron
Engineering Bureau and always exceeds the expectations placed on him. We are very
fortunate to have an employee like JASON HARRIS. |
