DARREN ROZENEK began his career with
the City of Akron in the Public Utilities Bureau as an Engineering Co-op in August, 1994. DARREN
was promoted to Surveyor Aide I in May 1995, Engineering Technician I in May 1996,
Engineering Technician II in April 1998 and to his current position of Engineering
Technician III in May of 2002.DARREN has been instrumental in developing and
implementing our current Geographical Information System and making it available to all
employees on the city’s website. HE also coordinated the collection of data
for the city’s Street Lighting GIS program and has made this information available on
the website.
Over the past several years, DARREN has supervised the conversion
of watermain underground records to a digital format, developing time saving procedures
and training other employees.
HE lives in Ellet with his wife JoAnne and their three year old twins, Conner
and Maria.
DARREN is always willing to help others solve problems with computer equipment
programs. HIS continued efforts will help the city undertake the technological
advances we face in upcoming years.
