Upon receiving a bachelors degree from
Kent State University in 1995, summa cum laude, STACEY obtained an entry level
clerical position with the City of Akron. Quickly recognized for her capabilities,
she was promoted a year later. In 1997 she entered the professional series of
Personnel Analyst and was promoted to her current position of Personnel Analyst II in
1999.STACEY is appreciated not only by those who work with her but has received
recognition from the Municipal Court, Akron Public Schools, consultants, and community
organizations.
In 2001 STACEY obtained, on her own time and at her expense, the distinct
certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). The process included a
rigorous written examination of knowledge as well as verification of practical experience.
STACEY has a tremendous grasp of what needs to be accomplished (especially for large
projects such as Police and Fire entry and promotional tests, and coordination of
Recreation staffing). HER recall of past events is extremely valuable when
approaching similar projects or training new staff members.
While STACEY volunteers to work on various City committees, such as the Akron Arts Expo
and City Picnic, she finds time to enjoy activities with her eighteen-month-old son,
Graham and husband, Clayton. HER time management and organization skills are an
inspiration to all who know her.
