| NORMAN "BO" VOGELSONG began his
career with the City of Akron Highway Maintenance Division in June of 1966 as a Laborer.
In October of that same year, he went to serve his country in the United States Army. He
served in Vietnam and was shot and wounded. You would never know it to see him work but he
has a twenty percent disability from his wounds. After serving his country for three
years, he returned to Highway Maintenance in 1969 as a Laborer. Bo has served the
department in various positions and received his current title as Highway Maintenance
Supervisor in 1985. |
|
BO and his wife, Lisa, have been married thirty-five years. They have one daughter, Kathy,
who is a radio and TV host. In his spare time, he reads and works around the house.BO is responsible for the daily operations of the West District
and really does enjoy his job. He has been employed with the City for thirty-seven years
and has never lost his enthusiasm.
BO is truly a public servant who has never lost site of who we serve.
