KAREN HAGUE began her career with the City of Akron on April 5, 1988, as a permanent part-time Clerk Typist I in the Recreation Bureau. On March 7, 1991, she was promoted to her present position of Secretary II. On July 22, 1991, she became a permanent employee.

KAREN is responsible for processing all requisitions for the department, filing of records, receiving deliveries, assisting visitors, and answering the phone. She is instrumental in keeping the office running smoothly and a very important part of the department.

KAREN and her husband, Steve have been married thirty-two years and live in the Ellet area. They have three daughters, Kim, Renee, and Michelle and one grandchild, Jared. Karen enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

KAREN is a reliable, dedicated individual who gives much more than is required of herself to her job. She assumes responsibility well and tackles her assignments with enthusiasm. Her devotion and willingness to help in any and all situations reflects her genuine concern for people and the department. Her friendly personality and resourcefulness makes her a pleasure to work with
