DENNIS RAGINS began his
career with the City of Akron on October 30, 1981 as a Firefighter/Medic. He was promoted
to his present position of Fire Lieutenant on June 19, 1995.
DENNIS is the father of two daughters, Vanquisha, an 18-year old
attending Ohio State University, and 5-year old Destinee. DENNIS became a Paramedic in
1985 and received his Masters Degree in Public Administration in 1991 from the University
of Akron. He is currently working on his Ph.D. at the University of Akron. DENNIS is a
member of Lebanon Baptist Church and he enjoys shooting pool and working at his computer
during his spare time.
DENNIS is an Akron Fire Department instructor in the following areas:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), Pediatric BTLS and Ohio EMS
Special Topics. He is a TEMS or SWAT Paramedic and a member of the SMART-CISM Team (Team
Coordinator Supervisor).
